A Legacy

In the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, we welcome you to this first edition of The Christian Voice of South Carolina. A brief history of how we got to this place is in order.

Some years back, Mr. David Goins began a regional magazine known as "The Christian Voice". It was distributed in churches, hospitals, business locations, restaurants, etc. throughout a large portion of the Pee Dee Area of South Carolina. After a period of time, his health began to decline and his wife, Mrs. Julia Goins took over the publication. I became familiar with her in 2018 but never had the pleasure of meeting her.  Mr. Goins passed away in October of that year and Mrs. Goins followed him just five months later in March of 2019.

It was then that Reverend David Bult, Jr. took over the operation and invited me to be a contributing writer which I did until his untimely death in May of this year. I considered Rev. Bult a mentor and a friend and his passing left a large hole in his family, his congregation and the community-at-large in which he was very involved. 

Rev. Bult's wife Joanna, his son, David Bult III, his father Reverend David Bult, Sr., and yours truly, Rev. Lou Perez, have taken it upon ourselves to create this new blog site in remembrance of, and as a tribute to, the legacy of Mr. & Mrs. Goins and Rev. David Bult, Jr. 

It is our sincere hopes this forum will shine light into the darkness of some, joy into the hearts of others and Christ inspired messages to all.
